I have devoted most of my life to clinical practice and researches in hepatobiliary surgery, but there is still no ultimate treatment for liver or biliary tract cancer. Nevertheless, it is true that many patients can expect a cure or long-term survival if the “right treatment” can be given at the “right time” in the “right way”. We hope that you will know our policies and ideas for fighting on the front lines of cancer treatment on this website. This website contains an introduction of our clinical team, clinical policies, and achievements. Regarding treatment options, both the idea of “standard treatment” for typical cancers and “our own strategy” for advanced cancers are described. Because there remain no established “evidence” for optimal treatment for advanced hepatobiliary cancers, please note that our surgical policies are not always in line with those of other medical institutions and doctors.
The real world is different from TV dramas. Even if the same doctor gives the same treatment for the same cancer, the outcome is different for each person and does not always follow the same scenario.
